by on August 4, 2014
Details

Positives

It has a positive insulator to help lessen the chance of melting and maintenance is easier with the design that is lacking an o-ring.

Negatives

While it does try to eliminate leakage, some reviewers have said that it actually sometimes leaks more than others so your mileage may vary when it comes to this device.

Bottom Line

Sporting a radically different design, the Magma totally delivers on Flavor, and ease of use.

If you’re a current vapor, it’s like there is no better time to be alive. The innovation and change in the marketplace is simply stunning, and is a total win for us vapers, as there is always something new and different to try out. The Magma RDA is just that. Sporting a radically different design, the Magma totally delivers on Flavor, and ease of use.

It came in the same black faux-leather box, with white styrofoam inside. included were the standard silica wicks with coils wrapper on
them, and the small blue screwdriver. I was a bit taken back by the lack of extra included O rings. This was until I realized that the Magma has a totally O-Ring free design.

As with any good RDA worth its weight in salt today, it has adjustable airflow. I find that I can find about any setting I’d want for different inhale styles, as well as ones for single or Dual coil setups. The Magma also features a two post design. You can do dual coils, but each coil wont have it’s own negative post, they will share both posts. Both posts use grub screws, similar to the Zenith RDA. It has a somewhat long 510 connection, and is not adjustable.

When building, you setup your coils horizontal, just like in other RDA’s, but you run your wick through the coil and down into the cavern that is the 10mm deep juice well! This is something I haven’t ever seen on an RDA like this. You can really load this baby up with juice, and have much longer times between redripping.

The inside of top cap is domed, or con caved. A lot of people call this a win for flavor, as while I think they are right, i’m not sure what the science is behind that. The part that really makes this awesome to me, is the airflow design. Airflow comes in from the sides, but is piped through the body, and comes out right under your coils. It’s really quite an awesome design, and makes for amazing flavor.

If you’re someone who isn’t chasing clouds, like myself, you will love this RDA for the flavor it delivers. I think this is a contender for best flavor from an RDA I’ve ever had. It’s easily become my favorite dipper when I’m laid out on the couch enjoying a extended TV break.
